Student Support Program

Student support The Center for Integrated BioSystems is tasked to build biotechnology capacity at USU. One method we are using is to provide fellowships for students engaged in biotechnology research. We periodically have three separate programs covering this initiative.

  • The CIBR students program is for graduate students who are conducting biotechnology research as part of their M.S. or Ph.D. program.
  • The uCIBR Students Program is for undergraduate students pursuing their degrees who are conducting biotechnology research.
  • The E.L. and Inez Waldron Endowment Fund was established to help meet the educational needs of graduate students involved in systems biology research at USU's Center for Integrated BioSystems.
These programs are structured to support research students:
a) who are outstanding scholars;

b) who show unusual promise in research; or

c) with unique funding needs.

Applicants may request funds to offset the cost of research associated with their programs. Due to unique nature of each program, the guide lines for applications and how funds may be spend vary slightly between the programs.

Please keep checking back for updates and future funding opportunities in the CIBR Student Program. If you have any questions about these programs, please contact the Dr. Jacob Parnell at jparnell@biology.usu.edu.
