DNA Sequencing Services
Services for Sequencing is performed using an ABI prism 3730 DNA Analyzer and Taq FS Terminator Chemistry (BigDye and ET Terminators and others Chemistry). Standard primers are provided by the facility at no extra charge. Custom primers should be provided by the user. The turnaround time for receiving sequencing results depends on the volume of sequencing requests to be processed. The standard turnaround, during a 5 day work week, is 24 to 48 hrs. after receipt of a DNA template. When the number of requests for sequencing exceeds the daily capacity of the lab, the turnaround time increases, generally to no more than 48 hrs.
We offer 3 service levels:
Level 1: Standard Service (24-48hr Turn Around Time)
Sample is received and immediately evaluated for quality and quantity. A protocol is designed specifically for each single template. The sequencing reaction is set up and run. The resulting reaction is cleaned up and prepared for DNA sequencing. Sample is then sequenced and the results are analyzed made into a PDF file and sent to the customer.
Level 2: Minimal Service (48-72hr Turn Around Time)
Sample is received after the reaction set up. The reaction is then run and carried through the remaining steps to determine DNA sequence and the results are then converted to a PDF format and sent on to the investigator.
Level 3: Ready to Sequence (24-72hr Turn Around Time)
Sample is received after all steps have been completed except the DNA sequencing and data analysis. Resulting Analysis is converted in to a PDF and returned to the investigator.
